EndNote @ Levy Library: Tips

Backing Up Your Library

It's a good idea to backup your EndNote library regularly to ensure you do not lose your work. To backup your library, you'll need to save a compressed (.enlx) file.

NOTE: The (.enlx) file is a stable form of your EndNote library and can be saved on the cloud.

To backup your library:

Step 1 of 2: Open the library in EndNote and compress your library.

  • Open your EndNote library and go to "File" at the top of the toolbar and "Compress Library" (.enlx).
