Does the Journal You Want to Publish in Accept Case Reports?
Many publishers are consolidating case reports into specific journals (like BMJ Case Reports, seen in the above box). How do you know whether the journal you're interested in publishing in accepts case reports? Use PubsHub!
PubsHub is a tool you can utilize to select the right journal targets for your article manuscript. One of the filters it has is "Accepts Case Reports". You can select this filter to see the journals in your selected specialty that allow submissions of case reports.
To search for journals that accept case reports:
1. Click on "Search Therapeutic Areas". This will open up a menu.
2. Select the discipline(s) of interest by checking the appropriate box(es). You will then see a list of journals.
3. Go to the Advanced Search Filters on the left side of the page, and scroll down to "Guidelines". Click on "Guidelines".
4. Click the radio button for Yes under "Accepts Case Reports". This will filter the list of results to journals that accept case reports.
