RE:	Temporary Closure of all Mount Sinai Health System Libraries Effective Saturday, March 14, 2020
Effective Saturday March 14, all Mount Sinai Health System libraries, including the Levy Library at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai located in the Annenberg Building, Mount Sinai Morningside Information Commons, and Mount Sinai West Library, will be closed to patrons and visitors until further notice. Icahn School of Medicine students will continue to have access to study rooms within Annenberg Floor 10 with an ID badge. The Mount Sinai Health System Libraries are here to support your research needs when you are working or studying remotely. Below are a list of services and resources to help you while libraries are closed. Remote Access is available 24/7 (https://libguides.mssm.edu/login) Log in from off-campus using your Mount Sinai credentials to access library journals, books, databases, and other resources remotely. Ask a Librarian (https://askalibrarian.mssm.edu/index.php) Available Monday - Friday, 9 am – 5 pm. Patrons may call, chat, email, or submit a question to a librarian. Research Support Consultations (offered via Zoom) Email RefDesk@mssm.edu to request an appointment. Please include a brief summary of your research topic and a sample of a few (three – five) relevant articles on your topic. Library Education Sessions (offered via Zoom) Please visit the Library Education page to learn more about what topics we cover and email us at RefDesk@mssm.edu to request a session for your course or program. ISMMS Writing Support Services (offered via Zoom) Please visit the Writing Support Service page to schedule a virtual consultation with our writing consultant. This service is open to all Icahn School of Medicine students, residents, fellows, and postdocs. Publish in BMJ Open Quality at no cost to Mount Sinai Authors

The Levy Library is happy to announce that Mount Sinai's subscription to resources from BMJ offers new benefits for our community. For publishing:Mount Sinai corresponding authors can publish for no-cost in BMJ Open Quality for their articles accepted between April 1, 2025 and March 31, 2028.BMJ Open Quality accepts original research, local, national, and international quality improvement projects, value-based healthcare initiatives, and educational improvement work.To submit an article to BMJ Open Quality:Visit BMJ Open Quality's author page to review submission guidelines.Submit your article via the BMJ Open Quality Submission Portal.Enter the Icahn School of Medicine's institution discount code to confirm your affiliation and waive publishing fees.We are continuing our agreement for no-cost traditional publishing in BMJ Case Reports. Levy Library Hours Update: Early Opening and Closure on Saturday, March 29 - plan ahead!

Please be advised that due to a planned electrical shutdown and maintenance in the Annenberg Building, the Levy Library will have adjusted hours on Saturday, March 29, 2025.Adjusted Levy Library HoursTo accommodate building-wide electrical maintenance, Levy Library will have adjusted hours and access over the weekend.
