- 24-Hour Dietary Assessment Tool (National Cancer Institute)The Automated Self-Administered 24-hour Dietary Assessment Tool or ASA24, is a free tool that records all foods and beverages consumed by the participant within the last 24 hours.
- Diet Food Checklist (National Cancer Institute)The Daily Food Checklist is a type of food record that allows respondents to place a check beside each food or beverage they consumed. This tool does not rely on memory and can be used as a stand-alone instrument or alongside another dietary assessment tool
- Diet History Questionnaire (National Cancer Institute)The Diet History Questionnaire or DHQ is a food frequency questionnaire developed for adults 19 years and older. It looks at the frequency of food and beverage consumption over time including portion size.
- NHANES Food Frequency Questionnaire (National Cancer Institute)Developed by the National Cancer Institute, the NHANES Food Frequency Questionnaire collects frequency of food and beverage consumption over a period of time. Unlike the food frequency questionnaire, this tool excludes portion size.

- Register of Validated Short Dietary Assessment Instruments (National Cancer Institute)This register provides descriptive information about validated short instruments along with any associated validation studies, publications, and copies of the instruments when available.
- NutritoolsDeveloped by the UK Medical Research Council, Nutritools provides access to validated dietary assessment tools, dietary guidelines, a food questionnaire creator and comparator tools.
- Diet, Anthropometry and Physical Activity (DAPA) Measurement ToolkitThe DAPA Measurement Toolkit is a free resource aimed at assisting researchers, public health professionals, and others in identifying and using methods for the assessment of diet, anthropometry, and physical activity.
