The Zotero Connector
Step 2 of 2: Installing the Zotero Connector
Once you have downloaded Zotero, you will need to install the Zotero connector. The connector is a browser extension that allows you to seamlessly import citations while on the web with a single click.
To install the Zotero connector:
Remain on the download page and select "Install Connector"
Depending on the browser, you may be redirected to the browser store (EX. Chrome store) or asked directly to install.
NOTE: If you are using Chrome on a personal device and unable to access the Chrome web store, this could be because you are signed in to Chrome with your Mount Sinai credentials. To solve this, simply log out of your Mount Sinai chrome to install the connector.
Pin the browser extension for easy access. Instructions for how to pin the extension will vary by browser. To pin the Zotero connector to your Google Chrome browser, select the extension (puzzle) icon, locate the Zotero connector and select the push-pin icon on the right hand side.
You should now be able to see and use the Zotero connector to import citations into your library.
