Scholarly Publishing and Visualization Hub: Convene
Come together with other Mount Sinai authors for learning and growth
Connecting Mount Sinai Editors and Authors
Journal clubs, writing groups, and author appreciation events are some of the many ways that Mount Sinai comes together as a community of scholars. We will share more information about these opportunities.
The Scholarly Publishing & Visualization Hub will help convene the scholarly community at Mount Sinai. Watch for an upcoming call to identify and connect fellow editors, reviewers and authors.
Journal Peer Reviewing
The Levy Library Press journals provide mentored peer review opportunities for learners. Please contact the editors if you are interested in becoming a reviewer.
- Journal of Scientific Innovation in Medicine Editorial BoardWe provide a mentored learning environment in transformative and sustainable scholarly communication. We welcome submissions of papers from students, residents and fellows papers including those building on accepted conference abstracts. We encourage trainees to publish their work originating from evidence-based research to our constructive peer review process. Our editorial team blends students, trainees, librarians, and faculty with a wide range of authorship and editorial expertise in order that we provide mentored peer review learning opportunities.
- Practical Implementation of Nursing Science (PINS) Editorial BoardPINS includes Original Projects conducted in the practice setting, including evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and research, Nursing Lens contributions, which take the form of op-ed pieces or personal essays focusing on healthcare delivery and policy from a nursing perspective, Literature Reviews, including systematic, scoping, and narrative reviews, and Case Studies to highlight challenging experiences in nursing that generate thought-provoking conversations about the nature of patient care in contemporary practice.
Sharing Publishing Community Updates
The Levy Library follows the latest news and guidance from the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the Society for Scholarly Publishing. We will be sharing more from these communities of practice in scholarly activities through the hub.
