Hello and welcome to the Levy Library at Mt. Sinai's LibGuide "LGBTQIA+ Resources for Health Professionals." Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning, intersex, and asexual (LGBTQIA+) individuals have unique health needs, often related to their sexual orientations and/or gender identities. This guide is intended for healthcare providers, especially in the NYC area, to find relevant and medically accurate health information and best practices for meeting the healthcare needs of LGBTQIA+ patients.

Healthcare providers can find health resources related to specific sexual orientation or gender identity by finding the appropriate category from the menu on the left. This guide is also one that can be shared with LGBTQIA+ patients to find relevant health information from a combination of academic, government, and nonprofit/NGO resources.
