Please join us for our next Mindful Medicine event – “Let’s Talk About Trauma: In Health Care.”

In the USA, the leading cause of death in those younger than 45 years is trauma. It costs the USA $600 billion each year. Despite these sobering figures, this public health epidemic goes largely unrecognized.[i] In this panel discussion & workshop, we will begin to explore the nature of trauma and its impact on our communities. Current research in trauma and self care for health professionals working with trauma survivors will be discussed. Complimentary and alternative medicine (CAM) treatments and therapies for trauma will be also explored.

We are offering this event twice, once at Mount Sinai West and the following week at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
