Mobile App Trials

The following mobile app(s) are being trialed by the library. Test them out and let us know what you think via our Ask A Librarian page.

Visible Body (Trial until September 30, 2017): Use this resource for interactive 3D human anatomy and physiology content and applications, including thousands of gross and microanatomy models you can rotate, zoom, and dissect. To access: use this link to download the mobile app while on a Mount Sinai Campus network. Then you will be able to use it off-campus for 90 days.

Drug and Clinical Information Apps

Access UpToDate's popular clinical topic reviews on your mobile device. To do this: Access UpToDate on a computer using the Mount Sinai network and click the Login In/Register option in the upper right corner. Login to your personal account or register for an account if you don't already have one. When you open the app, you will be asked for login credentials. Use the username and password for your UpToDate personal account (not your Sinai network ID and password).

Use Dynamed Plus's popular app to access evidence based clinical topic reviews on your mobile device. 

To download the app: Access Dynamed Plus, click the link to "Get the Dynamed Plus Mobile App" on the left side of the Dynamed home screen.  Enter your email address to send yourself directions for downloading the app.

 

Nursing Reference Center PLUS provides a mobile app to access nursing topic and book content on your mobile device. Click the NRC MOBILE link at the bottom of the Nursing Center Home page to get started and to email yourself the activation instructions.

 

AccessMedicine's mobile app content includes: Diagnosaurus DDX tool, Quick Medical DX and RX, Fitpatrick's Color Atlas of Dermatology, and Pocket Guide to Diagnostic Tests.

App Access: Click on the ISMMS button in the upper right hand corner of the AccessMedicine homepage, then create a free MyAccess Profile. Once your account is created, download the AccessMedicine app from the Apple or Google Play app store and login with your My Access credentials.

Access the Levy Library's journals from your tablet, iPhone or Android!   BrowZine is an app licensed by the Levy Library that creates a browsable newsstand of journals.  Download the free app from the Apple or Google Store, select Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and then log in using your library credentials.
