Gale Justin, Ph.D
Director of Instructional Technology
Gale coordinates the team’s skills and expertise to meet the educational needs of the School and hospital system. Leveraging her background in higher education, she develops faculty training and curriculum resources using gamification, video, 3D models, and emerging technologies, fostering innovative teaching solutions at Mount Sinai.
Marta Korytkowska, Ph.D., CCC-SLP
Director of Educational Technology and Strategy
As the Director of Educational Technology and Strategy, Marta leads collaborative efforts with stakeholders to integrate emerging technology and instructional tools into curricula. With a Ph.D. in cognitive science, clinical expertise, and hands-on experience with learners at many levels, Marta is one of several knowledgeable partners in developing learning modules, courses, and curricula.
Erik Popil, M.Ed
Senior Instructional Designer
Senior Instructional Designer since 2016, Erik collaborates with faculty, students, and staff to develop content and provide pedagogical guidance. Utilizing Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline, and Camtasia, he creates interactive and gamified e-learning modules, contributing to the advancement of educational technology at Mount Sinai.
Mariana Bernstein, M.Sc, M.A
Associate Director of Instructional Design and Technology
The Associate Director of Instructional Design and Technology, Mariana holds a pivotal role in shaping faculty development and refining instructional methods. Her responsibilities encompass curriculum development, program coordination, and stakeholder liaison to ensure the alignment of program offerings with evolving needs.
Jill Gregory, MFA, CMI
Associate Director of Instructional Technology
Associate Director of Instructional Technology, Jill creates visual learning materials for academic purposes and teaches visual communication to medical and graduate students. A Certified Medical Illustrator, she also serves as Past President and Past Board Chair of the Association of Medical Illustrators, contributing her expertise to the Mount Sinai community.
Lily Armstrong-Davies, M.A
Lead Academic Medical Illustrator
As Lead Academic Medical Illustrator in the Instructional Technology Group, Lily creates visualizations to enhance research communication and medical education for the Mount Sinai community. Her work is featured in journals, textbooks, grants, and online modules, making her an essential partner in content creation.
Carter Lim, BT
Instructional Technologist
Carter joined the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in 2012 and became an Instructional Technologist in 2016. He manages the day-to-day operations of the learning management system, Blackboard, and the lecture capture system, Echo360. Carter collaborates with students, faculty, and staff to enhance the teaching and learning experience through effective use of technology tools.
Gloria Willson, MLIS, MPH
Library’s Director of Education & Research Services
As the Library’s Director of Education & Research Services, Gloria is a major consultative contributor and ensures that learners have the information literacy skills to leverage library resources for evidence-based practice and that library services meet the needs of the Icahn School of Medicine and the wider Mount Sinai Health System. With over 15 years in health sciences librarianship, Gloria collaborates to enhance teaching and learning, making her a key partner in supporting academic success.
