On Friday, October 20th, Gali Halevi, Chief Director of Mount Sinai Health System Libraries, presented "Measuring the impact of your research: a comprehensive bibliometric approach" to Mount Sinai faculty, residents and students.
This presentation, hosted by InCHOIR Learning Lab, delved into topics including citation analysis platforms (such as Scopus and Google Scholar), H-Index scores, Altmetrics, Impact Factor and the newly-introduced PLUM network.

On Wednesday, October 25th, Levy Library presented "Emerging Careers in Public Health: Consulting" in partnership with the Graduate Program in Public Health. This evening provided a peek into the life of a public health consultant and the the many roads that can lead there.

Participants heard from each panelist about their current positions, educational backgrounds, career journeys, day-to-day life on the job, and the skills needed to be successful in public health consulting. Key takeaways from the evening included: consultants need to be entrepreneurs and advocate for themselves, there is no such thing as a typical day, seniority may vary from project to project, and be prepared to work with all kinds of personalities.
