Join us at the Levy Library on April 25th from 1:00-3:00PM for the next Mindful Medicine event: Issues in LGBT Geriatric Healthcare.

What issues do LGBT individuals face as they age? How does the stress of homophobia and transphobia exacerbate aging and contribute to “re-closeting” and “de-transitioning?” How can spiritual care perspectives inform the work of healthcare professionals in treating aging LGBT patients? In this workshop, attendees will hear from two clinicians and a spiritual care provider with expertise in working with LGBT patients who will address current research and best practices for working with an aging LGBT population. Speakers will include: Rabbi Jo Hirschmann, Dr. Rosanne Leipzig, and Dr. Laura Kelly. Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in a case study exercise.

The Levy Library is happy to announce that Mount Sinai's subscription to resources from BMJ offers new benefits for our community. Please be advised that due to a planned electrical shutdown and maintenance in the Annenberg Building, the Levy Library will have adjusted hours on Saturday, March 29, 2025.Adjusted Levy Library HoursTo accommodate building-wide electrical maintenance, Levy Library will have adjusted hours and access over the weekend.
