Simple Search
Research Discovery's simple search box is set to search the Levy Library Catalog. However, you may narrow or expand your search using the scope options that appear below the search bar as you type. Your search can be a natural language search, or it can include specific resource information such as an author name, title, etc. You can also use Boolean connectors (AND, OR, NOT, etc.) in your searches.
Advanced Search
You can access the Advanced Search page by clicking "Advanced Search" to the right of the main search bar on the Research Discovery landing page.
Using the Advanced Search option, you may use Boolean Operators (AND, OR, NOT) to combine search terms from a variety of fields. For example, you may choose to search for items with "Global Health" in the title, and the term "Data" in any field. You may also choose to search for specific material types, date ranges, and languages.
Account Personalization
Mount Sinai students, faculty and staff do not need a Research Discovery Account to access and view full-text resources, but can still sign up for an account to gain access to these customized features:
