Mount Sinai Health System Library Resources: Library Access FAQ's

A portal for core digital resources available to all staff throughout the Mount Sinai Health System.

Faculty, Housestaff, and Students of Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and Staff at Mount Sinai Hospital:

All faculty, housestaff, and students with Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai appointments (at any Mount Sinai Health System Hospital) and all staff at the Mount Sinai Hospital have access to the Levy Library's online resources.

To Login:

Go to the Levy Library's website and select the e-journal, database, or e-book you wish to use. You will then be prompted to login.  Use your Mount Sinai network credentials OR your chpnet email ID and password.

Non-Faculty and Non-Resident Staff Based at Mount Sinai Beth Israel, Mount Sinai St. Luke's, Mount Sinai Roosevelt and New York Eye & Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai:

A core library collection of over 2,000 leading ejournals and ebooks has been licensed for all staff at Mount Sinai Health System hospitals.  Staff at Mount Sinai Beth Israel, Mount Sinai Roosevelt, Mount Sinai St. Lukes's, Philips Beth Israel School of Nursing, and New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai, may use those library resources here: http://libguides.mssm.edu/librarycore

Your hospital librarian can also advise what other resources are available to you at your site.

Why is there a difference in the online library resources that are available to different groups?

Due to license restrictions, the Levy Library is unable to make its collection available to staff at Mount Sinai Beth Israel, Mount Sinai Roosevelt, Mount Sinai St. Lukes's, Philips Beth Israel School of Nursing, and New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai.  Publisher's academic licenses are very specific about who is granted access (current faculty, students and housestaff).

Who can visit the Levy Library?

All staff at the Mount Sinai Health System Hospitals may visit the Levy Library and use Levy Library resources on-site.  You must bring your ID badge from a Mount Sinai Health System Hospital.
