Instructional Technology Group: Illustration & Animation

Medical Illustrators on the ITG team create scientific and medical visualizations for faculty, staff, and student researchers at the School, as well as for clinicians and researchers across the Mount Sinai Health System. Visualization subjects range from surgical procedures to sub-cellular processes. Our work appears in:

  • Online and in-classroom course materials and lectures
  • Grant applications
  • Academic presentations
  • Patient education materials

headshot of Jill GregoryJill Gregory has been a practicing medical illustrator for over 25 years. She began working for Continuum Health Partners in 2000, and joined the Mount Sinai Health System in 2013. Her illustrations have appeared in 100s of peer-reviewed journal articles and textbooks. She is a 1998 graduate of the University of Michigan’s Masters in Medical and Biological Illustration program.

headshot of Lily Armstrong-DaviesLily Armstrong-Davies recently started her position as Lead Academic Medical Illustrator with the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She is a 2023 graduate of the Art as Applied to Medicine Department at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. She creates illustrations and animations for medical professionals to communicate their work and educate others.
