Circulation Services: Printing, Copying, & Phone Charging

The Circulation Department manages the availability and circulation of Levy Library's print and audiovisual collections.The Department also provides services such as renewing books and distributing copy cards.

Levy Library Hours


The Library provides two self-service scanning stations. Both are networked to computers loaded with Adobe Acrobat Professional and Adobe Photoshop.

Fax Services

Fax services are available at the Service Desk when Circulation Services are available. The charge to send a fax is $1 per page. There is no charge to receive a fax.

Copy Card

The reusable copy card needed to operate the Library public copiers and printers may be obtained at the Service Desk when Circulation Services are available.

The fee for a copy card is $1.

Note that the cost of any copies must be added to the card.

Printing and Copying

The Library's public computers are networked to black and white and color printers.
The Library also provides black and white and color photocopiers.

Printing and copying require a copy card
If you need a copy card, go to the Service Desk where Library staff will issue a reusable card for a $1 fee.

Add value to your card
Use the Pharos Kiosk, which is located on the 11th floor next to the printers and copiers, and across from the public computers. Value is automatically deducted from the card when you print or copy.

  • Black and white copies and prints are 10 cents per side*.
    • Double-sided prints are 20 cents per double-sided page.
  • Color prints are $1 per side*.

Student printing services
Students in all programs of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai receive an automatic discount on printing and copying. The system charges students the correct amount.

Wireless Printing

Students, faculty and staff of the Mount Sinai Medical Center can print from a wireless enabled laptop computer to one of the public printers in the Levy Library or on Annenberg 12 or 13.

Phone Charging

For user convenience the Library has a phone charging unit (Bright Box) on the 11th floor of the Library. Charging is free or charge, though a credit card is needed to act as a key. The Bright Box is compatible with many mobile phones, including Apple, Samsung, and Blackberry.
