Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery: Home
All faculty, housestaff, and students with Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai appointments (at any Mount Sinai Health System Hospital) and all staff at the Mount Sinai Hospital may use ILLiad, the Levy Library's interlibrary loan system, to request books or articles not held at the Library.
The ILLiad system also enables you to track the status of your requests, and can provide available articles in PDF format through its Electronic Delivery option. Electronically delivered articles are usually available in 2-3 business days; other requests usually take 7-10 days to fill.
The ILLiad service is free to eligible users. Before making an ILLiad request, please determine whether or not a book or journal is already held by the Levy Library by checking our Catalog and / or E-Journals list. Registration is required the first time you use ILLiad.
For questions about your ILLiad password or the status of your interlibrary loan request, please email email@example.com or call (212) 241-3862 (ext. 43862).
All interlibrary loan items must either be returned or renewed (if allowed) by the due date. Failure to return any item in a timely manner could result in late, lost, and/or processing fees that have been applied by the lending library. Failure to return an item will result in a loss of interlibrary loan privileges.
Members of the Mount Sinai Community may have print journal articles available in the Levy Library copied and delivered to them in electronic or print format via Loansome Doc service.
The charge is $5 per item. For more information, please read about our Loansome Doc service.
