Levy Library: Library Resources Login (Remote Access)

Active faculty, residents, students and staff of Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and the Mount Sinai Health System may access the Levy Library's e-resources.  To access an e-resource, start by finding the book, journal or database you need on the library website.  When you click to access the link, you will be re-routed to a page that prompts you to login (see screenshot below). 

You may also login using the link below. Once logged in, you will be redirected to the Library's homepage and will be able to access our e-resources.

Login using your Mount Sinai network username and password.

If you have trouble logging in or need a reminder of your username and/or password:

  • Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (ISMMS): Your Mount Sinai network ID is usually the first 5 letters of your last name, your first initial and a number such as 01 or 02. Your first initial may (or may not) occur before or after the first five letters of your last name. For example, the network username for someone named Robert Johnson could be rjohns03 or johnsr03. If you need assistance, please contact the Academic IT Support Center at: 212-241-7091 or
    • ISMMS Faculty, Residents, and Fellows should contact the Academic IT Support Center regardless of their location.
  • Mount Sinai Hospital and Mount Sinai Queens: Please contact 212-241-4357 (x4HELP).
  • Mount Sinai Beth Israel, Mount Sinai Brooklyn, Mount Sinai West, and Mount Sinai St. Luke's: Please contact the Help Desk at 212-523-6486.
  • New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai: Please contact 212-979-4273.
  • If your username and password are correct but you are still having problems, log out of your account to reset your connection.

Important Notice for VPN Users

Please note that if you are using VPN, library resources cannot be accessed via the same browser in which you are logged into VPN. If you are using VPN, you can access library resources in one of the two following ways:

  1. Utilize a different browser: If you are logged in to VPN using Internet Explorer, open a different browser (such as Chrome, Firefox or Safari), go to the library website and access the resource(s) you need using the instructions above.
  2. Utilize the Remote Desktop option within the VPN interface: Clicking Remote Desktop will launch a new window that allows you to access your office computer desktop from your laptop. You can then use any browser on your office computer desktop to access the library website and use library resources.

All library users are expected to abide by our Licensing and Copyright policies. Please be aware that violation of these policies may lead to loss of access to the Mount Sinai network.
